CSU’s Esports Team Attends Academic Honors Basketball Game

Recently, CSU’s esports team, along with other athletic teams, attended a CSU basketball game, where they were honored for their roles on the dean and president’s lists for the Fall 2024 semester. We value our players’ hard work and dedication to their schooling. Keep up the great work, team! 💚

The Cleveland Clinic Visits Us!

Dr. Drew Schwartz from the Cleveland Clinic visited us at our facility recently to teach us how to maintain our health in esports! In the meeting, our players learned about injury prevention, ergonomics, and stretching in esports and had a blast during it too! Thank you to Dr. Drew Schwartz and the Cleveland Clinic for teaching us how to game healthily! 🎮

Midguard Mayhem #4

Be sure to join us for Midguard Mayhem #5 on February 23rd! The two eligible players who place highest will qualify for a spot to play at the 2025 Ohio Summit.

Giving Day - 24 Hour Stream

February 27th is Giving Day! Giving Day is CSU Esports biggest day of the year! On Friday, February 21st, at 8 pm, CSU’s esports team will be hosting a 24-hour stream with the team players and coaches. The stream will go until 8 pm on Saturday, February 22nd. During the stream, viewers will be able to watch the team play fun games and have the option to donate to help CSU build our Esports program while getting the chance to win some cool prizes! We hope for your support!

We will be giving away a CSU Esports jersey during our 24-hour stream to one lucky winner! To be eligible, all you need to do is donate during the 24-hour stream!

On Giving Day, we will also be giving away a CSU esports jersey, a signed Denzel Ward football, and other prizes to be announced to multiple lucky winners! To be eligible, you must donate a certain amount to meet a donation goal!

Player of the Week

Lexi Pewitt, "doverra," Overwatch White

Hello, dear readers, this is Adam Schuler, assistant director of esports here at CSU, and today I'll be writing about the wonderful Lexi Pewitt, aka “doverra”, for player of the week. If the name sounds familiar, it is because she is the one who puts together these fantastic newsletters for us, and we felt it was finally her time to be in the spotlight. She is from Brunswick, Ohio, and is currently double majoring in psychology and public relations (communications) and working towards a minor in digital content creation. While she serves as a core member of the foundation of our Overwatch 2 program, she also spends time keeping the program afloat as our director of communications! Outside of school and esports, Lexi loves photography and all things horror. She's done great in her first year in the program, and we can't wait to see what else she'll accomplish under our banner. Shoot for the stars, Lexi!
