CSU’s Rocket League Team Wins NECC Division III National Championship!

On May 5th, CSU’s Rocket League Team won the 2025 NECC Division III National Championship against Texas A&M University. It was a great win and an even greater season! Great job team!!! 💚🎮

CSU Esports at The VESPYS

On April 29th, the CSU Esports team attended the 2025 VESPYS Awards, hosted by CSU Athletics. The team, dressed in their best attire, had a great time cheering on their fellow athletes and teammates! It was an amazing finish to a strong season, getting to enjoy delicious food while chatting with other athletes and faculty.

CSU Esports 2025 Banquet

At the end of each season, CSU’s esports team hosts a celebratory banquet for all of the players. At the banquet, we grill delicious food, play fun games, chat and revisit memories throughout the season, and give out awards! It is always a fantastic time and a bittersweet final end to the season.

CSU’s Esports Team at The Cleveland Guardians Game

During the past week, CSU’s esports team took a trip to watch a Cleveland Guardians game! Everyone had a wonderful time cheering on the team, eating yummy hot dogs, and enjoying the lovely weather! 💚

Esports Summer Camp

Saying Goodbye to the Greatest Assistant Director and Teammate , Adam Schuler aka “shoes”

Adam Schuler has been a part of CSU’s esports team since the start of the program and has been the Assistant Director, alongside Director Pj Farrel since 2023. Throughout his time at CSU, Adam has brought many new ideas, hardwork, loads of support, and immense talent to this team. With this semester being Adam’s final semester at CSU, the team is devastated to see him go, but so incredibly proud and grateful for what he has given the team

Adam has been a crucial part of this team, playing for CSU’s League of Legends team, CSU’s Overwatch White team, and CSU’s Valorant teams. He will be graduating with a Master’s of Legal Studies in Cybersecurity and Data privacy and he also has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from the University of Cincinnati. In his free time, Adam is a huge sports fan and loves to play League of Legends Teamfight Tactics.

We will all miss you and all you’ve done for the team so much. Without you, this program would not be what it is today. Thank you, Adam. We love you! 💚🎮👑

Jose Valdez aka “Iruleu1”— College of Business Valedictorian

Huge congratulations to a much-loved player on our Overwatch Green team, Jose Valdez, for his accomplishments in his final semester at CSU. Jose is the valedictorian of the Monte Ahuja College of Business for 2025. Additionally, he also won the Rotary Club of Cleveland Award of Excellence in Accounting and was awarded the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Scholarship. Great work Jose! 💚

Jason Simon , "Jæson," League of Legends

Meet Jason Simon, aka “Jæson.” Jason is a senior Math major from Germany on CSU’s League of Legends Team. Jason is a 4.0 student who is working towards being a math teacher. Jason is also an officer on the CSU Chess team! In his free time, Jason enjoys listening to a lot of music and keeping up with new game releases! Thank you, Jason, for being an amazingly talented and loyal player on our team. We appreciate you and everything you’ve brought to CSU! We’ll miss ya Jason! 💚🎮
