NEOH Summit 3 - Smash Ultimate Invitational

On March 9th, 16 of Northeast Ohio’s strongest competitors played in a Smash Ultimate Invitational called NEOH Summit at CSU’s Esports Facility. NEOH Summit is a tournament series that’s been running since late 2022, inviting the best players in the Northeast Ohio region out to compete. Great job to all of the players who competed, and congratulations to our top 13, Reuvi, Roots, Mr. Spikes, Lebo, Camuglyfr, Eloquence, Muffle, Dawn, Boss Jeef, Happi, Dreamless, Raj, Arctic, Wintershorts, Weeblewobs, and Dr. Kirb! 💚

UKY Bluegrass Showdown - Overwatch Tournament

On March 8th and 9th, CSU’s Overwatch Green team played at the University of Kentucky’s Overwatch Bluegrass Showdown. The team played hard-fought games against Grandview University and the University of Cincinnati in the competition. Although they weren’t able to come away with a victory, the team had a lot of great game content to review and felt as though they left a better team than they arrived. Great work, Overwatch Green! We are excited to see how the rest of the season plays out! 💚

Spire Academy Visits CSU to Play Valorant

This past week, Spire Academy Esports came out from Geneva, Ohio, to come and play some Valorant with CSU’s Valorant Green and White teams. The afternoon was filled with fun, competitive games and tons of talented gameplay from the skilled players. Thanks for coming by Spire Academy! 🎮

Esports Night - Thursday, March 20th

On Thursday, March 20th, CSU will be hosting Esports Night! Located at The Viking Public House, CSU’s Valorant, Rocket League, and Smash Ultimate teams will have their games streamed live! Come stop by and show your support while enjoying some delicious food and beverages! We hope to see you there!

Tim Stidham, "HisBeardsWeird," League of Legends

Meet Tim Stidham, aka “HisBeardsWeird”. Tim is a senior who has been on CSU’s League of Legends team from the beginning, back when CSU Esports was only a club! He is graduating this spring with a bachelor’s in finance. Before CSU, Tim graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Ohio State University, making this his second bachelor’s degree. In his free time, Tim enjoys bodybuilding and watching popular competitions. Fun Fact: Tim is also CSU’s Esports oldest player! Thank you, Tim, for your dedication, sportsmanship, and consistency throughout your time with CSU Esports. We will miss you unc 💚
