CSU’s Overwatch Varsity Team Competes in QCC Tournament
During the weekend of October 25th, the Overwatch Varsity team played at Queen City Clash (QCC) in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the University of Cincinnati. The team was placed 6th seed, pitting them against Illinois Wesleyan University. The team lost the game 0-3, requiring that they beat Cincinnati in order to continue in the tournament. After putting up a good fight, the team would then lose 1-3, and not continue in QCC. The team all had a great time enjoying celebratory Pizookies from BJs Restaurant, and are very proud of the progress they have made thus far. We’re looking forward to the next conference!

CSU Esports Halloween Costume Contest

Winner Junior R. “CptJunior” in his custom 3D printed Samurai Jedi costume
The spirit of Halloween takes over the lab! This semester, we’ve invited the Varsity Esports team to participate in a costume contest! During the week of Halloween, students were invited to dress their absolute best and have their likeness captured in photo in the arena. The winner was to be awarded a $25 Jersey Mikes gift card, an excerpt in the Viking GG Gazette, and, of course, candy! This year's winner is none other than… Junior Ramos (CptJunior)! Junior was dressed as an original Samurai Jedi, his elegant and intricate costume a labor of love and hard work. The plating on the pants was 3D printed and put together by Junior, as well as the shoulder plates which he attached with velcro.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the contest and we are already excited for next year's event! Happy Halloween everyone!💚🎃
