CSU’s 24-Hour Stream and Giving Day!

On the 21st, we hosted our first annual 24-hour stream! The stream was a great success, and we had loads of fun playing games, chatting with the team and viewers, and falling asleep in random spots around the lab! Huge shoutout to our production team for all of the hard work they put into the stream! Specifically, Ty H., Olivia B., Javi S., and Christian D. Special shoutout to Director of Esports, Pj Farrell, for actually staying up for the entire 24 hours! Thank you all for stopping by and showing your support! We couldn’t do it without all of you! 💚

Thursday, February 27th, was Giving Day for CSU Athletics. We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated and showed support. Thanks to all of you, we were able to reach our giving day goal of $5000! These funds will be used for team travel, better setups for our smash team, and scholarships for our players! We appreciate the support more than anything and are thrilled to continue building our program!

Midguard Mayhem #5: Ohio Summit Qualifier

Midguard Mayhem #5 was a blast! Over 60 people showed up, and over 50 signed up to compete. Congratulations to the top 8 players, Victor M. (Dreamless), CaleBlakely, WinterShorts, Weeblewobs, WiiHappi, ThassGamer, Dr. Kirb, and in first place, AnthonysNotCool! Special congratulations to RetroLazer_ for winning the redemption bracket and to Dr. Kirb and RetroLazer_ for winning doubles!

Additionally, huge congratulations to WiiHappi and WinterShorts for qualifying for the Ohio Summit Qualifier at CSU’s Midguard Mayhem #5!

Meet Steven Folger, aka muhiki, a prime player on CSU’s Overwatch Green team. Steven is a freshman sports management major who is from Middleborough, Massachusetts. In his free time, you can find Steven playing Marvel Rivals and more Overwatch! Proving his skill, Steven has peaked top 30 in Overwatch and plays flex support for his team. In addition to Overwatch, Steven assists in creating game overlays for our streams. Keep up the good work, Steven!

Meet Eric Weatherall, aka wyyu, a key player on CSU’s Valorant Green team. Eric is a freshman sports management major who is from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Eric has peaked top 30 in Valorant and plays duelist for his team, specifically Jett and Raze. Prior to Esports, Eric was going to pursue a career in soccer, but an arm injury changed his path. Needless to say, we are thrilled to have a player as dedicated and skilled as Eric on our team. Great work, Eric.
