CSU’s Esports Team Is Moving!

Heads up! CSU’s Esports team is transitioning from CSU’s Athletics Department to Washkewicz College of Engineering! The decision was approved by President Laura Bloomberg and the CSU Board of Trustees and announced on January 23rd. “We loved athletics and being a part of it, but we still believe that we can grow esports even more in Northeast Ohio, and I have faith that the College of Engineering can help us do that.” Director of Esports, Pj Farrell, says. CSU’s Esports team will remain in athletics until June 30th, 2025.

Midguard Mayhem #4

Midguard Mayhem 4 took place on January 26th. Thank you to all 27 players who joined us, and congratulations to our top 8 winners, Arctic (Corey B.), CAMUGLYFRL, Reuvi (Ruban L.), colinies (Colin L.), Raj, WinterShorts, Dr. Kirb, and in first place, Weeblewobs! Congrats to Dreamless (Victor M.) for winning the redemption bracket and to colinies (Colin L.) and FortuneSSB_ for winning doubles!

Be sure to join us for Midguard Mayhem #5. The two eligible players who place highest will qualify for a spot to play at the 2025 Ohio Summit.

Giving Day - 24 Hour Stream

February 27th is Giving Day! Giving Day is CSU Esports biggest day of the year! On Friday, February 21st, at 8 pm, CSU’s esports team will be hosting a 24-hour stream with the team players and coaches. The stream will go until 8 pm on Saturday, February 22nd. During the stream, viewers will be able to watch the team play fun games and have the option to donate to help CSU build our Esports program while getting the chance to win some cool prizes! We hope for your support!

Player of the Week

Nung Lian, "LIAN," Valorant Green

Meet Nung Lian, aka LIAN, a first-generation freshman student on CSU’s Valorant Green team. Nung is from Garland, Texas, and studies business. When he isn’t top-fragging, Nung is a gymnastics coach, and he enjoys illustrating. Fun fact: his favorite movie is Interstellar! Much like the movie, Nung is out of this world, and we look forward to seeing how his second season with CSU plays out! Keep it up, Nung!
